Iran defiant
Iran is talking tough now, and the US is determined to stop Iran's nuclear program, one way or the other. I'm just hoping that no airplanes will get shot near the Iraq/Iran border anytime soon. Dangerous times we live in. Both the Axis of Evil countries have been in the news recently, coincidence?

Any thoughts on the current EU efforts to 'get into bed' with Iran through various trade and economic initiative in light of Iran's continuing violations of human rights and serious mistreatment of minority groups?
First of all, the EU speaks with 25 voices - it would be much better if it just spoke with one. I'm afraid that boycotts and embargoes will fuel resentment towards 'the West'. The EU has always sought the moral highground after the atrocities of WWII and the ever present stigmata of the discrimination of minorities.
